• Downtown Council

The Downtown Council (DTC) is committed to creating a vibrant, diverse, and economically-sustainable downtown. The DTC is the primary advocate for the downtown businesses, working in unison with the visitor's bureau in creating a friendly destination for visitors, as well as for people who live in New Bern and the outlying areas. One of the most successful programs the DTC coordinates is a Beary Merry Christmas. This group meets in the Chamber Meeting Room on the 4th Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm and there is no fee to serve on the committee.
