Craven’s Crafts: Silk Scarves

Craven Arts Council & Gallery is proud to host a Silk Scarf Workshop on Saturday, April 12th. Craven Arts will be hosting two sessions of this event, available for all ages. Session one will be held from 11 am to 1 pm and session two from 2 to 4 pm. Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for non-members of Craven Arts.

Craven’s Crafts is a new program by Craven Arts, created as a bi-monthly workshop offering tutorials on simple crafts. Adding on to the variety of programming available, Craven’s Crafts promotes local involvement and interest in the arts for all ages. This Silk Scarf Workshop will consist of a tutorial on dyeing silk scarves and will include the usage of alcohol based ink. Sessions will be supervised by Craven Arts staff and taught by Craven Arts board member, Barbara Brown. Dye, scarves, and other craft materials will be provided on-site and all participants will be required to sign a waiver. Additionally, courtesy lavender lemonade, will be available during sessions.
