Position: Community Engagement Coordinator

Employment Status: Part-time; Flexible; 20-25 Hours/Week
Reports to: Executive Director
Works with: Community Outreach Committee; Volunteers; HFHCC Staff

Role and Responsibilities:
The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for administering the volunteer services, faith relations, and community outreach programs for Habitat for Humanity of Craven County (HFHCC).

Volunteer Services–develop and implement strategies for actively recruiting, engaging, and retaining volunteers for the Admin/Office, Construction services, and the Habitat ReStore.
Respond to all individual volunteer inquiries, maintain the volunteer database, facilitate Volunteer Orientations, and maintain volunteer policy and procedures. Work with Team Leads on volunteer assessment needs and job descriptions. Conduct regular volunteer satisfaction surveys and communicate results to the Community Outreach Committee.
Faith Relations–build, maintain, and strengthen partnerships between HFHCC and local churches, religious institutions, or diverse faith communities for volunteers and service work. Community Outreach–foster relationships between HFHCC and the public by building partnerships, managing volunteer initiatives, and representing HFHCC at events. Monitor community service volunteers from local jurisdictions.

● Ability to work a flexible schedule, attend outside meetings, some evenings and weekends
● Experience in Google Workspace, social media platforms, CRM’s; Website management

Education/Experience:
Minimum of an Associates degree degree and 2 years of relevant experience in a non-profit organization, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Requirements:
● Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record and maintain adequate insurance
● Must be able to pass a criminal background check
