The Earliest North Carolinians: Native American Occupations Along the Tar River Valley

Join us for a special talk by Dr. I. Randolph (Randy) Daniel, Professor and Chair, Department of Anthropology, East Carolina University, on his Tar River archaeological research!
For over a decade, East Carolina University has been conducting archaeological research along the Tar River. This work has been concerned with identifying the places and ages of its earliest occupations. Results, to date, will be presented including a discussion of the intermittent human habitation of the river over the last 11,000 years.
AUDIENCE: Children, Teens, Families, Adults; All are welcome!
