DESCRIPTION:You're a Super Hero!\n\nHealthy Kids Day is the Y's largest national initiative\, bringing children and families together and providing the education\, activities and experiences that teach good health and foster connections through fitness\, sports\, fun and healthy habits. As a result\, youth and families achieve greater health and well-being for their spirit\, mind and body.\n\n\n\nJoin us for our 1st Annual Healthy Kids Day and 5K. We will have games and activities for the entire family\, beginning with our 5K race at 8:00 AM on Saturday\, May 16\, 2015.\n\n\n\nRegistration is available online (no mail-ins) for $28 (by May 1)\, and $33 thereafter (prices include online processing fees already). Online registration will close on Thursday\, May 14\, 2015. Registration/packet pickup will be held at the Twin Rivers YMCA on Thursday 5/14 from 5-7 PM\, or on race morning. Enter the discount code of "military" for a $5.00 discount for active duty military.\n\n\n\nAwards will be given to the top 3 male & female finishers and top 3 in each age group: 9 & under\, 10-14\, 15-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70+. All participants in the kids' dash will receive a prize. There will also be prizes given to the best dressed super hero\, fastest stroller and participant who traveled the furthest.\n\n\n\nThe 5K course will go through the Ghent neighborhood\, with the start and finish located at TWIN RIVERS YMCA.\n\n\n\nEveryone can participate! Bring your parents\, grandparents\, aunts & uncles! You can participate as a runner\, walker\, or wheelchair participant.\n\n\n\nAll proceeds of the event go to the Twin Rivers YMCA Annual Scholarship Support Program.\n\n\n\n\n\nKids Fun Run-\n\n\n\nThis year's kid's dash will be IMMEDIATELY following the 5k. All children 12 and under are invited to participate in the 40-yard-dash. Kids Fun Run cost $12.00.\n\n\n\nParticipants for both the 5K and the Kids Fun Run will receive a shirt.
